Penelope T-Strap Heels

Ive ordered many chelsea crew shoes over the years. I just got two pairs of the Penelope and while trying out the fit, the straps on both started peeling. Just carefully unbuckling the strap resulted in peeling paint, I cant imagine what they’ll look like after actually wearing them. Incredibly disappointed as Ive had other straps on Chelsea Crew shoes hold up much better. Theres also some staining on the inside possibly from some leather dye. They are incredibly cute and comfy, but the quality is questionable.

Love these heels! So comfortable! The yellow is cute- not too bright. More of a dijon mustard than a yellow mustard.

I ordered two pairs of shoes and received them on January 8 (quick delivery!). On arrival, I tried on one shoe from each pair and found both had finish from the straps scraped off. Either they arrived like that or simply adjusting the straps once caused the finish to rub off. No matter the cause, it doesn't bode well for longevity. Such a shame because the shoes are beautiful and I desperately wanted to keep them. Sadly, I initiated the return process online and...nothing. NO response whatsoever so far after four days. I'll follow up again online, but the lack of response has definitely convinced me not to try another purchase here.

The cork color between the grwen and silver layers is very visible after try-on. I do not trust that these will look ok after one hour of dancing.
